Remember, the end day is comprised of several events that

are all associated with restoring the kingdom to Israel. In the

previous chapter, we saw different events of the end day: the

end of Man’s Week; the end of Gentile kingdoms; the destruc-

tion of the “prince,” associated with the abomination which

will have caused desolation, and the Revelation of God—better

known as Jesus Christ, all occur at that “end day.”

Since we understand that the “end day” (that day) is con-

current with restoring the kingdom to Israel, we need to exam-

ine any prophecies related to “that day”—that Day of the Lord,

with its wrath and restoration—in order to determine when it

will occur.

WRATH AND RESTORATION

Some verses in the Bible that relate to wrath, and then to

restoration, are the closing verses of Hosea, chapter 5, and the

beginning verses of Hosea, chapter 6. There also, we are given a

date set by God!

“Then I will go back to my place until they admit their

guilt. And they will seek my face; in their misery they will ear-

nestly seek me. Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us

to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind

up our wounds. After two days he will revive us; on the third

day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence”

(Hosea

5:15; 6:1,2).

The date is,

“on the third day.”

In the context of this passage, if we read the verses just be-

fore this, the Lord is speaking judgement upon the Northern
