CHAPTER 5

WHY DOES IT END?

Back to the Beginning

question that never seems to be answered sufficiently is,

“Why do bad things happen to good people, and good

things to bad people?” What people overlook is the fact that

paradise was lost at the Garden of Eden. God had given domin-

ion to Adam and Eve, but they sinned by disobeying God. In

effect, they turned their dominion over to the serpent, the Dev-

il.

The good news is that things won’t always be in the con-

trol of the evil one. The bad news is that things will become

even worse before they get better.

We are told in scripture that at the end, at the coming of

the Son of Man, everything will be,

“…as it was in the days of

Noah”

(Matt. 24:37). Before the Flood,

“The Lord saw how

great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that eve-

ry inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the

time. So the Lord said, `I will wipe mankind, from the face of

the earth’”

(Gen. 6:5, 7).

He is the chief over all who do things their own way, who refuse to sub-

mit to God.
