this land in a single day”

(Zech. 3:8-9).

This day is associated with Jehovah showing Himself as the

Messiah whom they pierced. It is also known as that day or the

Day of the Lord.

“They will look on me, the one they have pierced…”



“On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of Da-

vid and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem to cleanse them from

sin and impurity”

(Zech. 13:1).

Lights Going On and Off

The day of Yom Kippur will be the day the Lord reveals

Himself on the Mount of Olives.

At noontime, on that day of this religious feast, the sun will

go out, and mourning and weeping will start:

“‘In that day,’ declares the Sovereign Lord, ‘I will make the

sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight. I

will turn your religious feasts into mourning and all your sing-

ing into weeping. I will make that time like mourning for an

only son and the end of it like a bitter day’”

(Amos 8:9-10).

However, when the evening comes (6:00 p.m.) on this

conclusive Yom Kippur, there will be light:

“Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations,

as he fights in the day of battle. On that day his feet will stand

on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem…the Lord my God
